Finalists for Superintendent of LCSD55 – Meet and Greet Events Start this Week

The Laurens County School District 55 Board of Trustees has unanimously selected three finalists for the position of Superintendent. The finalists are Chris Ballenger, Ed.D., Jody Penland, Ed.D., and Martin Wright, Ph.D.
Chris Ballenger, Ed.D., currently Superintendent of Warren County Public Schools, Virginia, and previously Superintendent of Jennings Public School District, Oklahoma, will be available for a Meet and Greet event on May 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the district office board room.
Jody Penland, Ed.D., Co-Interim Superintendent of Laurens County School District 55, will participate in a Meet and Greet event on May 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the district office board room.
Martin Wright, Ph.D., Principal for Liberty County School Systems, Georgia, will attend a Meet and Greet event on May 15 at 5:30 p.m. in the district office board room.
These events are open to the public and provide an opportunity for the community to meet and engage with each finalist before their final interview with the board. The selection process has been diligent and thorough, and the board looks forward to the community’s involvement in this important decision.
