Fine Arts Center announces Artist-in-Residence program for 2024-2025

November 11, 2024

The Fine Arts Center announced its 2024-2025 Artist-in-Residence program. With support from the Peace Center, this initiative will bring world-class artists directly into the classroom, offering students the opportunity to learn and grow from working industry professionals.

The Artist-in-Residence program is designed to immerse Fine Arts Center students in hands-on performance-based learning experiences. Throughout the school year, guest artists will lead workshops, masterclasses, and collaborative projects with students to equip the next generation of artists with invaluable skills.

This year’s artist-in-residence program will include a stellar lineup, including Kevin Boseman, a NYC-based Broadway dancer, singer and actor. The remainder of the artists are:

11/11 – 11/15: Chamber Strings – The Aspen String Trio
11/18 – 11/22: Voice – Reginald Smith, Jr.
11/18 – 11/22: Dance – Alonzo King Lines Project

3/3 – 3/7: Jazz Studies – Benny Green

These renowned artists will work directly with FAC students, offering them insights, advice and guidance in their respective fields. Each artist brings a wealth of expertise, allowing students to engage in meaningful, real-world artistic practice.

“The artist-in-residence program offers an incredible opportunity for our students to work with top-tier professionals,” said Fine Arts Center Director Vee Popat. “It’s a unique experience that will undoubtedly inspire and elevate their passion for the arts.”<

The Fine Arts Center extends its heartfelt thanks to the Peace Center for its continued support in providing a learning environment where creativity thrives, and students are encouraged to pursue excellence in their craft.
