Fine Arts Center presents Local Jam on the Town Green to kick off Carolina Cup weekend

CAMDEN, SC – The Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County (FAC) and the City of Camden announced the Finally Friday Local Jam—A Carolina Cup Weekend Kick Off on the Town Green. The event will be from 6:00-8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 1. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets. Refreshments will be available for purchase from several local vendors, so please leave coolers at home.

The Town Green is located at 1015 Market Street behind The Armory Steakhouse and Seafood. Local musicians will rock the night away with one great jam session. This year’s musicians include seven guitar players, four bass players, seven drummers, and a keyboard player. Performing will be Rusty Davis, Paul Russo, David Middleton, Jim Hayes, Buddy Harre, A.J. Cook, Danny Massalon, David Franklin, Tim Bordner, Kevin Taylor, Stephen Staley, Paul Hayes, Scott Jordan, Bobby Joseph, Chase Hicks, Johnny Glenn, Rick Floyd, Robert Charles, as well by Camden High School student, Anna Ferris.

The Finally Friday Free Concert Series is the FAC’s free spring/summer concert which normally takes place the last Friday of each month from March through June. As Good Friday fell on the last Friday of the month this year, the decision was made to move the event to coincide again with the Cup weekend, therefore taking place on Friday, April 1st. The FAC will hold its next Finally Friday Free Concert Series on April 29 which will feature local favorite, Reflections, at its normal location at the FAC behind the Wood Auditorium on the Shull Pavilion. The concert series has been an annual event since its inception in 2006.

The Finally Friday Free Concert Series is sponsored by NBSC, Duke Energy, Alpine Agency, Graham Realty and City Laundry & Cleaners, as well as the City of Camden.
