September 6, 2017

FinTrust Investment Advisors and Broad Street Capital Advisors announced merger. On a combined basis, the firm serves as a fiduciary advisor to over $1.2 billion in client assets and advises over $1.6 billion in total client assets.

FinTrust Partner Allen Gillespie stated, “The partners have had a long relationship both personally and professionally for many decades, and regularly share ideas. The merger meets the four-part criteria the partners set out of serving the interests of our clients, our employees, our advisors, and our partners over the long-term.

Partner Philip Brice added “Delivering on our mission for clients requires credentialed and experienced professionals, and our combined firm will employee a team of 39 professionals including four research analysts holding the Chartered Financial Analyst designation (CFA), accompanied by one junior analyst, five Accredited Investment Fiduciaries (AIF®), four Certified Financial Planners (CFP®), a CPA and a non-practicing CPA, and fixed income capital market specialist. The merger also expands our office footprint in the southeast with offices in Athens and Macon, Georgia, with future plans for an Atlanta office. In South Carolina, we have offices in Greenville, Anderson, and Charleston with future plans for Columbia.
