First homeowner settling in at BullStreet District

September 5, 2018

The largest urban redevelopment project on the East Coast, The BullStreet District, continues to grow with the addition of a new tenant: its first, private homeowner. The Moore Company, a Columbia-based boutique real estate firm, announced the closing ahead of an open house scheduled for September 16th.

“This is a watershed moment in the history of the BullStreet District and Columbia as a whole,” said Moore Company owner Graeme Moore. “We’ve been building toward this moment for several years, and it’s exciting to see BullStreet really start to gain momentum.”

Stephanie Carnohan, a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, says she was drawn to the development from the minute she saw the plans.

“I’ve been looking for a place downtown; new construction, with a garage, and this place checked all the boxes,” Carnohan said. “When I saw the plans and amenities, I knew it was something I’d be interested in. This space is amazing.”

Situated on the BullStreet District’s southern side, Carnohan’s new home is the first of 28 that will eventually enclose a private park. Named ‘TownPark at BullStreet,’ the mix of two- and three-story buildings will feature a classic-meets-modern aesthetic, with brick exteriors and contemporary, high-end finishes. Carnohan says the District already offers great amenities.

“We’ve loved walking the dogs down to the pond, eating at Bone-In Barbeque, seeing baseball games, watching fireworks off the deck,” Carnohan said. “You can’t beat the location. I’m close to the Vista, Five Points, Main Street. It’s all within 5 minutes.”

Carnohan’s arrival coincides with a series of development news at BullStreet, including the expansion of global technology company Capgemini, which recently announced a multimillion-dollar expansion that will create 200 high-tech jobs in the burgeoning district. The site is already home to Spirit Communications Park and the Columbia Fireflies. Carnohan looks forward to seeing progress continue.

“It’s going to be fun watching the whole area grow,” Carnohan said. “I can’t wait to have some new neighbors!”

The Moore Company will hold an open house at TownPark on September 16th from 1:30 – 4:00. For more information, visit TheMooreCompany.com/BullStreet.
