First public dog park opens in Travelers Rest SC

The Standard at Pinestone, a new upscale apartment community in Travelers Rest, SC, hosted a grand opening event for their state-of-the-art dog park on Tuesday, June 6^th. Located at 125 Pinestone Drive in the heart of downtown Travelers Rest, the new dog park is the city’s first and will be open to the public and pet owners in the surrounding area. The dog park is open daily from dawn to dusk.

With its prime location in flourishing Travelers Rest, The Standard at Pinestone is a pet-friendly community featuring brand new 1, 2, and 3-bedroom floor plans furnished with modern amenities. As the first dog park in Travelers Rest, this opening marks an important step in bringing the community together through a love of animals and outdoor play.

Speak for Animals, a nonprofit organization that partners with local veterinarians to offer free and low-cost spay and neuter options for animals in Upstate South Carolina, attended the event to spread the word about proper pet care and accept pet supply donations.

“We believe that any time you can do something positive for animals and bring people together, like opening a dog park, it’s wonderful for the entire community,” said Susan Bufano, President of Speak for Animals. “This new dog park provides a terrific way for people to make friends and have a great time with dogs and dog lovers.”

Grand opening attendees and their four-legged friends broke in the new digs while enjoying gourmet hot dogs, cold beverages, and fresh-made dog treats from local vendors. The event also included a ribbon cutting ceremony by the Travelers Rest Chamber of Commerce to mark the occasion.
