First South Carolina Summit on Women

COLUMBIA, SC – April 16, 2008 – First South Carolina Summit on Women was held April 16, 2008 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

The South Carolina Summit on Women was a one day conference of hope and inspiration designed for corporate, government, community and non-profit leaders interested in the achievements, challenges and opportunity for women.

The conference highlighted accomplishments, new initiatives and possibilities for improvements in the three major areas of emphasis identified by The South Carolina Commission on Women and the Alliance for Women:

1.    Economic autonomy
2.    Political participation
3.    Health and Well-Being
