Five Richland One Schools awarded Distinguished Arts Program grants from SC Department of Education

Five Richland One schools have been awarded 2024-2025 Distinguished Arts Program (DAP) grants from the South Carolina Department of Education. The grant, which is part of the Department of Education’s Arts Curricular Innovation Grants (ACIG) program, provides funds for one-year projects.

Grants are awarded based on the successful scoring of a school’s application. The maximum amount a school can be awarded through the DAP grant is $18,000.

The following Richland One schools were awarded grants:

  • A.C. Moore Elementary School (More Arts at A.C. Moore: Increasing Creative Opportunities for Every Student through the Arts) – $12,600
  • Logan Elementary School (Logan Leopards: Thriving in the Arts) – $12,600
  • Rosewood Elementary School (Engaging, Educating and Empowering a Community of Learners in and through the Arts) – $12,600
  • Satchel Ford Elementary School (Keeping Dance at Satchel Ford Elementary) – $12,600
  • Hand Middle School (Arts at Hand: Strengthening Our Dedication to Teamwork) – $12,000
