Flight of the Dove Marks 20th Anniversary Ride in Clinton
July 13, 2025The 20th Annual Flight of the Dove cycling event returns to Clinton on Saturday, August 2, 2025, offering cyclists of all skill levels an opportunity to enjoy scenic Upstate South Carolina while supporting a meaningful cause. Organized each year by VIA Health Partners (formerly Hospice of Laurens County), the event continues its tradition of raising funds to provide hospice and clinical services for local families.
Registration Now Open
Registration for this year’s milestone event is now open. Cyclists can register online through Active.com for $60, which includes participation in any of the available rides: 14-mile, 30-mile, 50-mile, or Metric Century (62-mile) routes. Day-of registration will also be available on site for $70 per person.
Packet pick-up will take place on Friday, August 1, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at VIA Health Partners (1304 Springdale Drive, Clinton). Same-day registration and packet pick-up begin at 6:45 a.m. on Saturday, August 2 at Bailey Memorial Stadium, home of the Presbyterian College Blue Hose.
Event Schedule and Ride Options
The event begins with a live dove release at 7:55 a.m.—a signature tradition that symbolizes peace, hope, and healing. Cyclists will depart in staggered starts:

8:00 a.m. – Metric Century (62 miles)

8:05 a.m. – 50-mile and 30-mile rides

8:10 a.m. – 14-mile ride
A post-ride lunch celebration is planned for approximately 10:30 a.m. at Bailey Memorial Stadium, bringing participants together to relax and reflect after the ride.
Special 20th Anniversary Jersey Available
In celebration of the event’s 20th anniversary, riders have the option to purchase a limited-edition Hincapie Axis club-fit cycling jersey for $85. Jerseys can be pre-ordered during registration or purchased separately while supplies last.

Since its inception, Flight of the Dove has been a vital fundraiser for VIA Health Partners’ services in Laurens County. Proceeds from the ride directly benefit patients and families facing serious illness, helping to provide compassionate care close to home.
