Flourish wins awards for work with Clemson and Feed & Seed

Flourish’s 2018 client work was recently honored with one Mercury Award and one Silver Wing Award from the South Carolina Public Relations Society of America (SCPRSA).
“Clemson University’s ‘Eclipse Over Clemson’ free viewing party for the Aug. 21 total solar eclipse attracted about 50,000 to campus,” Jim Melvin, communications director for the College of Science at Clemson University, said. “Despite its high level of complexity, the event went off without a hitch, in large part due to Flourish’s innovation and hard work. The Flourish team was a pleasure to work with – from start to finish.”
Flourish’s Eclipse Over Clemson was awarded a Mercury Award of Excellence as an event seven or fewer days.
“The Team at Flourish help me create a unique way to celebrate my 50th birthday without having to plan and/or throw a formal party yet support my passion, food,” Mary Hipp, Feed & Seed’s Board Chair, said. “Over 200 people from across the country representing every stage of my life donated to Eat & Drink for Mary. The campaign raised over $25,000 for Feed & Seed. Feed & Seed hasn’t had such a successful fundraiser to date. I enjoyed working with Flourish’s talented, inspired and fun team.”
Its social media campaign, Eat & Drink for Mary was recognized with a Silver Wing Award of Merit as a social media campaign.
SCPRSA recognizes its members for their outstanding achievements and contributions through its annual Mercury Awards. The Mercury Awards includes a judged competition and awards banquet that celebrates outstanding achievement in the creation and execution of public relations campaigns and tactics.
