Food Lion Opens Fifth Simpsonville Location
March 26, 2026Simpsonville is adding another grocery option — and this one comes with a ribbon-cutting and a shot at a $200 gift card.
Food Lion opens its newest store at 2321 W. Georgia Road on March 25, marking the brand’s fifth location in the Simpsonville area. The 37,000-square-foot store sits near the intersection of West Georgia Road and Fork Shoals Road, in a part of southern Greenville County where farmland and subdivisions have been trading places at a rapid pace for several years.
Store Manager Mike Strange knows the community well — he’s lived in Simpsonville for 20 years and has been with Food Lion for 28. The new location features a walk-in garden cooler, freshly made sushi, a self-service hot wing bar, and in-store cut fruit, alongside the full complement of grocery staples, organic options, and the Food Lion To Go pickup and delivery service.
The first 100 customers in line for the 7:45 a.m. ribbon-cutting will receive a mystery gift card worth up to $200 and a free reusable bag. To mark the opening, Food Lion donated the equivalent of 25,000 meals — a $2,500 contribution — to Harvest Hope Food Bank in Greenville, which will also conduct regular food rescue pickups from the store through its ongoing Feeding America partnership. The store will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
