Former Clemson Coach Danny Ford to Attend Home and Garden Show
March 12, 2009COLUMBIA, SC – March 12, 2009 – Former Clemson Coach Danny Ford will be at the Carolina Classic Home and Garden show this Saturday from 1-4pm. Ford will be available to meet with the public and to signing Clemson prints at the Vista Art booth to be sold at half price.
Danny Ford is known for leading the Clemson Tigers to their one and only National Championship in 1981. Under his leadership, the Tigers won three straight ACC titles from 1986 to 1988. Ford coached a total of 11 seasons for the Tigers and is renowned as one of the most winningest coaches in Clemson history.
The Home and Garden Show, presented by the Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia, is this weekend, Friday through Sunday at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds. Doors open at 10am on Friday and close at 8pm. Saturday show hours are 9am to 8pm and Sunday from 11am to 6pm.
Tickets are available at the gate for $6, children 12 and under free. This year’s show includes over 300 construction, home improvement, and outdoor living exhibits. The show also offers seminars on Green Building and a brand new feature, The Golf Pavilion.
