Former local NBC News Anchor Michael Maely joins LHWH as Business Development Director

Michael Maely, the original Main News Anchor at WMBF News, has joined LHWH Advertising and Public Relations, located in Myrtle Beach, S.C., as Business Development Director.
Maely’s broadcast news career began after graduating from DePaul University in Chicago and interning at a host of stations with various talent, including NBC Nightly News Anchor Lester Holt. In the next 23 years, he earned extensive awards for his work as a producer, reporter and news anchor at TV stations in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio before heading to Myrtle Beach.
In helping launch the Grand Strand and Pee Dee’s NBC station in 2008 as Evening Anchor, Maely helped produce and anchor broadcasts, moderated debates, managed social media, hosted special events coverage and also dug into investigations and feature stories, some of which honored local veterans in his 10 years at the station.
