Fountain Inn Community to Gather for Magic Show and Glow in the Dark Egg Hunt
March 21, 2026Hillside Baptist Church is inviting local families to a night of entertainment and mystery as it prepares to host its annual spring celebration. The event, which is scheduled for Friday evening, March 27th, will feature a professional magic show followed by a glow in the dark egg hunt across the church grounds.
The festivities are designed to provide a safe and engaging environment for children in the Fountain Inn and Simpsonville areas. By moving the traditional egg hunt to the evening hours and adding a performance element, the church aims to offer a unique experience that stands out during the busy Easter season.
The Magic of the Season
The evening will begin inside the church sanctuary with a free magic show. The performance is tailored for a family audience and focuses on interactive illusions that encourage participation from the crowd.
Following the show, the action will move outdoors for the flashlight and glow egg hunt. Organizers have prepared thousands of eggs filled with candy and prizes, including several golden eggs that can be redeemed for larger gift baskets. The hunt is divided into age-specific zones to ensure that every child from toddlers to elementary students has a fair opportunity to fill their baskets.

A Tradition of Outreach
This event is part of a series of community initiatives hosted by the church to foster local connections. By offering the show and the hunt at no cost, the congregation hopes to provide a high-quality holiday experience for families regardless of their budget.
Volunteers have spent weeks coordinating the logistics of the glow hunt, which requires specialized lighting and a large team of monitors to ensure safety in the dark. The event serves as a kickoff for the church’s Holy Week activities, leading up to their traditional Easter Sunday services on April 5th.
Residents looking for a bit of wonder and a lot of neon are encouraged to arrive early, as seating for the magic show is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
