Fountain Inn Fire Department Partners with SC Burned Children’s Fund to Help Young Burn Survivors
October 22, 2025The Fountain Inn Fire Department is proud to sponsor and actively support the South Carolina Burned Children’s Fund (SCBCF), a nonprofit dedicated to serving children who have suffered burn injuries and their families across the state.
Through its sponsorship, the department helps SCBCF provide critical assistance to burned children, including emergency financial support, clothing, custom burn garments, and resources for families during hospital stays. In addition, SCBCF funds training for first responders in burn care and hosts Camp Can Do—a free overnight camp for children in South Carolina who are recovering from burn injuries.
“The Burned Children’s Fund represents the very best of what firefighters stand for—compassion, care, and commitment to community,” said Russell Alexander, Fountain Inn Fire Chief. “We are proud to stand behind their mission and to help make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families here in South Carolina.”
Locally, the Fountain Inn Fire Department also manages two can collection sites where community members can contribute directly to the cause:
All cans collected are recycled, and every dollar generated goes directly to SCBCF to benefitchildren and families impacted by burn injuries.
The Fountain Inn Fire Department encourages residents, businesses, and community partners to support this meaningful cause. Whether through can collections, direct donations, or raising awareness, every contribution makes a difference.
