Fountain Inn Seniors Secure Decisive Victory on Senior Night
February 13, 2026The Fountain Inn High School gym was packed on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, as the Fury celebrated Senior Night with a dominant sweep over the Emerald Vikings. The evening, which served as a centerpiece for the school’s ongoing Spirit Week, saw both the boys’ and girls’ varsity teams secure double-digit victories in front of a home crowd.
Varsity Boys Secure Season-High Score
The varsity boys’ team delivered an offensive clinic, defeating the Vikings 77–46. The win marked the highest point total of the season for the Fury. All five seniors on the roster contributed to the scoreboard, led by Auston Williams, who recorded 24 points. Williams was particularly effective from beyond the arc, accounting for nine of his points through three-pointers. The victory improved Fountain Inn’s record to 14–11 and extended their winning streak against Emerald to four games.
Varsity Girls Set Defensive Standard
The varsity girls’ team followed suit with a commanding 69–5 win. The Fury defense held Emerald to just five points over four quarters, marking one of the most lopsided region victories in the program’s history. La’Merria Fowler led the effort with 14 points and six steals, maintaining a perfect shooting percentage on the night. This win brought the girls’ season record to 11–14.
Community Support and Spirit Week
The games were held as part of “Giving Tuesday,” a dedicated night during Spirit Week to raise funds for the March of Dimes. During the events, the student council hosted a “Miracle Minute” to collect community donations. The evening concluded with a ceremony honoring the Class of 2026 athletes and their families, marking their final regular-season home appearance.
