Fountain Inn To Hold Groundbreaking Ceremony at Sanctified Hill Park

The City of Fountain Inn will be holding a Groundbreaking Ceremony for renovations on Sanctified Hill Park.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be held at Sanctified Hill Park on Putman St. In Fountain Inn on Wednesday, September 7th at 11 am. Mayor George Patrick “GP” Mcleer, Representative Mark Willis, Pastor Williams of Golden View Baptist Church, and Matt Sossamon of Sossamon Construction will speak.
The City of Fountain Inn is excited to begin updates to the historic park on Putman St. The renovations at the park will include new playground equipment, a new basketball court with bleachers, and a new picnic shelter. New signage, an ADA accessible walkway, landscaping, fencing, and new restrooms will also be installed in the first phase of this project.
The improvements to Sanctified Hill Park follow the renovation of Woodside Park, now Emanuel Sullivan Sports Complex. Emanuel Sullivan Sports Complex was completed in 2020. The City has its sights on further facility updates, the next being Fairview Street Park.
