Four additional PGA Tour Pros commit to the RBC Heritage
March 28, 2016Harris English, Brian Harman, Justin Thomas and Camilo Villegas have all committed to the 48th annual RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing. South Carolina’s only PGA TOUR event is taking place April 11-17, 2016 over the famed Harbour Town Golf Links.
Jason Day, Ernie Els, Branden Grace, Bill Haas, Zach Johnson, Matt Kuchar, Davis Love III, Graeme McDowell and Brandt Snedeker are also slated to compete over the famed Harbour Town Golf Links.
English will be making his fourth start at Harbour Town. After graduating from the University of Georgia in 2011, the Valdosta, Georgia native moved to Sea Island. He has earned two PGA TOUR victories and was on the leaderboard earlier this year when he finished in third place at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
Harman caught the golf world’s attention in 2012 during the second round of The Honda Classic when he shattered the course record with a 61. The Savannah, Georgia native finished the tournament tied for 12th. The University of Georgia graduate received Heritage exemptions in 2004 and 2006 after winning the 2005 Players Amateur. He earned his first PGA TOUR victory at the 2014 John Deere Classic. The Sea Island resident will be making his seventh start at the RBC Heritage.
Thomas earned his first PGA TOUR victory earlier this year at the CIMB Classic. The Louisville, Kentucky native played golf for the University of Alabama before turning pro in 2013. He is currently number 33 on the Official World Golf Ranking. He will be making his second start at Harbour Town after finishing T11 at last year’s event.
Villegas grew up in Medellin, Colombia and played golf for the University of Florida. He now lives in Jupiter, Florida. He has four PGA TOUR victories and two International wins. He competed in his first RBC Heritage in 2006 and is making his tenth start. He has carded three top-tens at Harbour Town.
