Fourth annual Palmetto Panel educates South Carolina citizens on issues impacting the state and country

February 5, 2018

The Palmetto Panel is a citizen-led annual conference highlighting unique content and innovative solutions to current challenges facing our state. By providing networking and optional training this conference will help fellow South Carolinians become well-informed, active participants in their self-governance.

Now in its fourth year, the conference will take place on Saturday, March 10th, from 10-5:30 at the Madren Center on Clemson’s campus.  Each year the conference brings together a group of dynamic, expert speakers to educate residents of South Carolina on a range of issues facing the Palmetto State.

Topics to be covered this year include; charter schools in South Carolina, the risk of coastal threats; the South Carolina Constitution and why it is unique, and much more.

The Palmetto Panel is an affordable and educational program created by Hardy to help educate, motivate and energize citizens of South Carolina.  Those attending will have the opportunity to personally meet and talk with the speakers and to participate in a Q&A session.

Speakers include:

• Sen. Jim DeMint, founder of the Senate Conservatives Fund, past President of Heritage Foundation, and Founding Chairman of Palmetto Promise Institute in SC, and Chairman of his newly founded Conservative Partnership in Washington DC
• Clare Lopez; Center for Security Policy Analyst, Author, Professor, Lincoln Fellow, past operations officer with the CIA
• Cameron Runyan, CEO for the Charter Institute at Erskine
• Mark Herr, Sr., National Speaker, Co-Founder and President of the Center for Self Governance

Additional speakers will be announced closer to the event.

Interest in the program has grown with attendance increasing each year. The conference provides access to unfiltered and keenly focused information on issues that impact residents of South Carolina.
To register for the conference go to www.PalmettoPanel.com.  The cost is $55 and includes continental breakfast and lunch. Registration is limited to 100 people. Information about the training on Sunday can also be found on the website.
