Freshfields Village unveils extravagant Easter weekend lineup
March 26, 2024Kickstarting the holiday weekend with three dynamic events from live music to an outdoor movie
Freshfields Village, the premier shopping, dining and entertainment destination just 30 minutes from downtown Charleston, is celebrating Easter weekend with three community events starting Thursday, March 28 through Saturday, March 30. From live music to outdoor movies and jazz performances, the open-air shopping space at 165 Village Green Lane on Kiawah will be filled with lively entertainment all weekend long.
“Freshfields Village is a vibrant community where connections are made and cherished,” said Herbert Ames, Managing Director, EDENS. “From jazz nights to live music on the green and a movie under the stars, we’ve curated an array of experiences for Easter weekend that ensures there’s something for everyone.”
Easter weekend scheduled events include:
The weekend kicks off on Thursday, March 28, with Jazz Night at the Porch Bar at Andell Inn. From 6:00 to 8:00 pm, guests can enjoy the soulful tunes of local jazz group, The Joy Project, while sipping on refreshing drinks in the cozy ambiance of Andell Inn’s Porch Bar.
On Friday, March 29, Freshfields Village welcomes the arrival of spring with its first concert of the year. The spring edition of the popular outdoor music concert series, Music on the Green, will take place from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The centralized and spacious Village Green will come alive with the sounds of The Coppertones, and during this free outdoor concert, guests can purchase beverages from FortyEight Wine Bar + Kitchen on the lawn. Attendees are encouraged to bring beach chairs and blankets for a lively night of music under the stars.
Saturday, March 30, continues the festivities, bringing a Spring Outdoor Movie on the Green at 8:00 pm. Families are invited to bring chairs, blankets and picnics to enjoy the timeless classic, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” Before the movie, chocolate candy bars will be handed out and five lucky recipients of a golden ticket will receive a little surprise. Join the expedition with Willy Wonka, played by the legendary Gene Wilder, as the movie unfolds the wonders of Roald Dahl’s classic book.
Embracing the spirit of a holiday weekend and the joy it brings, Freshfields Village is excited to offer a lineup of these three events, a true testament to how retailers, neighbors, families and friends are at the heart of The Village. Freshfields is more than a destination; it’s a gathering place where the essence of togetherness thrives, and every event is an invitation to build relationships among all generations and celebrate the vibrant heart of the community.
