Friends of the Greenville Zoo add two

GREENVILLE, SC – March 29, 2013 – The Friends of the Greenville Zoo have added two new board members who will serve as co-treasurers.

The new members are Matt Madden and Phillip Cox and both will serve three-year terms.

Cox is a senior vice president with Grand Bridge Real Estate Capital. A Greenville native, he attended the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina where he majored in finance and real estate. He is Chairman of the Income Property Committee with the MBAC (Mortgage Bankers Association of the Carolina’s) and a licensed real estate broker in the state of South Carolina. He is a member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), a member of the Urban Land Institute, a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and a member of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association. Cox also has been involved with the advisory council for Pendleton Place Children’s Home.

Madden is a senior tax manager with Elliott Davis, LLC. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Presbyterian College and his master’s from the University of the Georgia. In the community, he has been active with the United Way’s Campaign Cabinet, PULSE, where he was on the advisory council for three years, including chairing the PaceSetters Committee, The Vivace Society and ULI Young Leaders. He was named one of Greenville’s Best and Brightest under age 35 in 2009.
