Friends of the Greenville Zoo Elects New Slate Officers
June 30, 2014GREENVILLE, SC – The Friends of the Greenville Zoo unanimously elected a new slate of officers for the 2014-15 year.
John Boyanoski will serve as the chairman of the organization. Chris Lewis will serve as the special projects chair. Matthew Madden and Phillip Cox will both be returning for their second year as co-treasurers.
Boyanoski is the president of Complete Public Relations; Lewis is the general manager of the Greenville Road Warriors; Madden is a senior tax manager with Elliot Davis, LLC, and Cox is a senior vice president with Grand Bridge Real Estate Capital.
This group will be leading the Friends of the Greenville Zoo on their 20-year master plan to expand and revamp the zoo while ensuring positive future growth. The Greenville Zoo contributes $9.4 million annually to the local economy.
“We are very excited to see all of the great things this group will do for the Greenville Zoo,” said Amanda Osborne, executive director of the friends.
The zoo’s impact on the Greenville County economy over the years 2012-2025 is projected to average 193 jobs, $11.3 million in output, and $4.2 million in aggregated disposable household income each year, according to the study. Local Governments are projected to average $573,000 per year in net revenue.
The Greenville Zoo has operated within the City of Greenville since 1960.
