Get to Know 2018-2019 Richland Library Board of Trustees
January 25, 2019Four, new faces are serving on the Richland Library Board of Trustees. We’re proud to announce the following appointments for 2018-2019:
Jennifer Ford works as a privacy officer in the Risk Management and Compliance Division of the South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority, and she’s a fund development committee member for the Junior League of Columbia. Ford was also part of the Class of 2018 for the Voice Leadership Development Program.
Avni Gupta-Kagan serves as an independent consultant, working to improve education outcomes for children in South Carolina and nationally on a range of issues from human capital management to leadership development. She’s also on the boards of the Children’s Theater of Columbia and the School Improvement Council for Caughman Road Elementary School.
Erin Johnson is the Vice President for Community Investment at Central Carolina Community Foundation. She has also served as the Chief Community Investment Officer for the South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy and an HIV Health Educator for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
Lee Rambo is on the Richland Library Friends and Foundation board, is part of the School Improvement Councils of Dreher and A.C. Flora High Schools and is a guardian ad litem with the Richland County CASA program. Previously, she served on the Richland County Conservation Commission, and she worked as a student teacher supervisor at the UofSC College of Education as well as an elementary school teacher.

- Katherine Swartz Hilton, Vice Chair
- Cheryl English, Treasurer
- Betty L. Gregory, Secretary
Returning members are James Shadd III and Yvonne G. Stocker.
Richland County Council has appointed these members to Richland Library’s Board of Trustees. Each trustee serves an unpaid board position.
