Gilbert FFA president receives state proclamation

A student demonstrating exceptional leadership at Gilbert High School and beyond recently received recognition from the South Carolina Statehouse.

GHS Senior Lindsey J. Scott received a proclamation during National FFA Week (Future Farmers of America) from State Sen. Danny Verdin. Currently the president of the South Carolina 4-H Teen Council, Scott organized National FFA Week events held at the Statehouse on March 13.

The proclamation commended Scott on her leadership and achievements during the 2017–2018 school year.

Scott also spoke to a group of FFA students from across South Carolina during a guest luncheon held at the Capital City Club.

Other GHS students attending National FFA Week events at the Statehouse included Cameron W. Hallman, Wyatt D. Hallman, Emily A. Miller and Sianna M. Smith.
