Global Recovery LLC Announces New Facility in Dorchester County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – July 13, 2009 – The South Carolina Department of Commerce and Dorchester County today announced that Global Recovery LLC will locate its new facility in Dorchester County. The $590,000 investment is expected to generate 15 new jobs. Global recovery is a world leader in providing environmental solutions to industry for recycling and waste management.
“We are pleased to further our operations in South Carolina with a new facility in Harleyville. The new facility will allow us to increase our productivity and expand our recycling and processing efforts. Dorchester County is an excellent fit for us, providing a positive business environment, strong labor force and an existing building to suit our needs. We appreciate all the support we’ve received from state and local officials,” said John E. Beach, president and CEO of Global Recovery.
Global Recovery is locating its new operations in the former Pioneer Boat Manufacturing facility in Harleyville. The company intends to use the facility to increase the amount of plastics it processes and to accept a broader range of materials for recycling. The company expects the new equipment will help increase the value of the processed plastic materials. Global Recovery plans to begin hiring for the positions in August.
