February 5, 2018Former Clemson soccer champion and multicultural marketing leader to share creative insights from international brands
Endeavor, a membership-based coworking community for creatives and corporate marketing teams, announces that Fabio Tambosi, Clemson alum and a global brand marketing leader, will speak at its next Collaborators & Cocktails networking speaker series on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. Tambosi is currently serving as an adjunct professor at the Erwin Center for Brand Communications at Clemson University this semester, after several years directing global football (soccer) brand marketing and digital services for Nike.
Back by popular demand, Tambosi, who spoke at Endeavor in early 2017, will present brands through the lens of a creative, sharing his global, digital and experiential perspectives on best-in-class creative work, what marketing trends are impacting brands today, and how lessons from big brands translate to smaller companies and even individuals creating their own personal brands.
“Fabio has crafted digital, influencer and experiential marketing strategies for some of the world’s most renowned brands, and insights from his experience can be applied to any type or size of client,” said Joe Erwin, president of Erwin Creates and founder of Endeavor. “We’re thrilled to host Fabio at Collaborators & Cocktails again, since so many of our members wanted to learn more from him after he spoke last year.”
While teaching at Clemson this Spring, students in his “Brand Me – Influencer Marketing” class will explore different ideas of brand strategy, the power of influence, and the effect of social media on today’s popular brands. Prior to Clemson, Tambosi was the director of global football brand marketing and digital services at Nike, where he drove the strategy and execution of marketing support for football training apparel and services and led the development of a training programming framework to enable football consumers to become better players in 16 key cities worldwide. He was also a key player on the team that reset the traditional brand management approach at Nike to one that leads with digital.
Before assuming his current position at Nike, Tambosi served as the company’s global brand manager for Nike Women’s and as territory brand manager for the global football World Cup in 2014. Prior to Nike, Tambosi served in global marketing positions at Nokia. Tambosi earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and an undergraduate degree from Clemson University, where as a member of the men’s soccer team, he helped win the ACC Tournament championship in 2001. Tambosi also serves on the board of directors of the Erwin Center for Brand Communications at Clemson University.
Collaborators & Cocktails starts with networking at 5 p.m., with the presentation and Q&A session at 5:45 p.m. The event is free to all Endeavor members and corporate members, with a limited number of advance purchased guest tickets available for $30.
