Golden Career Strategies adds Myers-Brigg Type Indicator to portfolio of services

March 10, 2021

Golden Career Strategies (GCS) announced the company has added another valuable assessment to its comprehensive portfolio of services, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment. This new offering comes on the heels of GCS President Stacey Bevill earning the prestigious designation of MBTI® Certified Practitioner.

MBTI® complements the Strong Interest Inventory® assessment, a career transition tool that Golden Career Strategies has offered for many years. Both the MBTI and the SII assessments are useful in helping individuals – seasoned and younger – identify which careers they are best suited for, as well as those they would potentially find most rewarding.

“When used together, these assessments can be extremely beneficial to those who are in career transition. MBTI, which has been around for over 70 years, offers terrific insight into personalities. It is one of the world’s most popular people-development tools – because it works. The Strong Interest Inventory, on the other hand, accurately zeroes in on interests and leanings – and is backed by more than 80 years of research. SII is particularly useful for college and high school students. What makes SII so intriguing is that the assessment results rarely change – even after 20-plus years,” said Bevill.

More about SII and MBTI
Strong Interest Inventory® assessments help individuals identify their work personality by exploring their interests in six broad areas: realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, and conventional (often referred to using the acronym RIASEC). It then breaks the RIASEC areas into 30 specific areas of interest that can be directly related to fields of study, careers, and leisure activities. In addition, it describes an individual’s personal style preferences in five areas: work style, learning environment, team orientation, leadership style, and risk-taking.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® assessments help support personal well-being and professional performance goals by providing a deeper understanding of what makes you “you.” With these insights, you can make more informed decisions, better communicate with others, and build stronger relationships based on the science of your personality.
