Goodbye… and Other Life Lessons from the Stage

After years of performing at Town Theatre, Jeremy has decided to take a shot in the professional arena. But not before one last night of music at the theatre where he got his Columbia start. Jeremy and friends will raise a toast to some of his (and your!) favorite Town Theatre roles. Audiences can revisit West Side Story, Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, My Fair Lady, Les Mis and even a little Million Dollar Quartet. Plus, enjoy other selections that speak to Jeremy’s journey as an artist. Joining Jeremy on stage will be his sister, Courtney Reasoner, singing partner Kerri Roberts and other stage co-stars including Emily Moore, Charlie Goodrich, Alex Cowsert, Nathan Jackson and Jeremy Buzzard. Jeremy Hansard, Landon Osteen and Mikey Lowrey, other long-time Town friends of Jeremy, will accompany the vocalists.
Jeremy says, “Performing is a beautiful thing. For an actor, the stage is where ego and brokenness collide. It has been such a joy to be able to share the stage with the Columbia community here at Town Theatre. This historic building taught me how performance can move the soul in ways I didn’t think possible. But joy has been granted not by the ancient walls of stone and brick, but by the people who grace them. Town has become a second family and I’ve met lifelong friends with whom I share a great bond. And in the eleven shows in which I have performed, I’ve been granted the gift of participating in the act of performance with these beautiful people. I’m honored to be given the opportunity to say goodbye, where my words of choice will be the music that has graced my mind and the minds of audiences and performer alike. As Victor Hugo said, ‘Music expresses that which cannot be said, and on which it is impossible to be silent.’ I hope you can come participate with us.”
Tickets are available now. Cost is $25 for adults; $20 for seniors 65+/active duty military/full-time college and $15 for youth 17 and under. Goodbye is a part of Town Theatre’s Entr’acte series with proceeds supporting Town’s centennial campaign. Town Theatre is the oldest operating community theatre in America and is closing out its 100th season.
