Gray Court Set to Shine: Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony This Monday

November 19, 2025

Holiday cheer is set to fill downtown Gray Court as the community prepares for its Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Monday, November 24th at 5:30 PM on Main Street.

This year’s lighting is especially meaningful as the iconic evergreen at South Main Street and Highway 101 has been fully restored with new lights and a glowing star—thanks to a collaboration between the Town of Gray Court, LCWSC, PRTC, CPW, and Laurens Electric Cooperative.

Families, neighbors, and visitors are invited to gather for the countdown as the tree illuminates the heart of town. Children and adults alike can look forward to a festive, small-town holiday atmosphere.

Adding to the celebration, Steam Coffee House from Fountain Inn will be on site serving free hot chocolate to attendees.

Gray Court Town Council member Laura Cook, who helped champion the restoration effort, says Monday’s lighting represents more than switching on holiday décor. “This tree is part of Gray Court’s story and lighting it again brings our community together in a special way,” she said.

Residents are encouraged to arrive early, bring their families, and enjoy a warm kickoff to the Christmas season as Gray Court’s signature tree lights up the night once again.
