Greater Lexington Chamber Business Lexpo draws hundreds

July 28, 2017

The Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center drew hundreds to River Bluff High School Tuesday to connect with 100 local businesses at its 2017 Business Lexpo.

Business professionals, local residents and visitors walked the school’s spacious Main Street lined with trade show booths, sampling menu items from seven local restaurants along the way.

Greater Lexington Chamber President/CEO Otis Rawl was proud of his community’s display of support for local companies. “The reason we continue to host the Lexpo is because we get to witness businesses strengthen their relationships with one another and their customers,” said Rawl. “With the help of the Greater Irmo Chamber, we were able to see that happen for businesses throughout Lexington County.”

Participants like Devon Mellichamp, client services manager at Bayada Home Care, were happy to find local companies that could assist their business.

“We were able to connect with people in the community that we don’t normally get this face-to-face time with,” said Mellichamp. “This event has shown us how wonderful the Lexington community is. We’re excited to be part of it.”

Free and open to the public, this trade show is designed to bring local businesses and restaurants together to connect with one another and the Midlands community.

The 2017 Business Lexpo is presented by BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, Palmetto Health, BB&T, Lexington Medical Center, Comporium, AllSouth Federal Credit Union, Providence Health, Grow Financial Federal Credit Union, Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service, Grace Outdoor Advertising, Columbia Living Magazine and Z93.1 The Lake.
