Greater Lexington Chamber opens rooms for event rentals

January 21, 2013

LEXINGTON, SC – January 21, 2013 – The Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center has opened two of its meeting spaces for its members and the public to rent.

“Providing these rooms is an add-on benefit and service, not only to our members but to the community as a whole,” said Randy Halfacre, president/CEO. “As Lexington continues to grow, we continue to have needs for different types of spaces to rent for meetings, reunions, receptions, and seminars.”

At 1,800 square feet, the Agape Community Room lends itself to large social gatherings, business meetings, and work expos. All electronic amenities are available, including a projector, screen, wireless Internet, and PA/sound system. Chairs can be arranged stadium-style, around tables, or along walls. Cost is $300 for members of the GLC&VC and $600 for non-members.

The Board Room, at 600 square feet, is suitable for smaller events and meetings. Close to 30 people can be seated at tables arranged horseshoe-style. Cost is $125 for GLC&VC members and $175 for non-members.

A $150 facility deposit is required, and returned in full if no damage is incurred. Those who rent the rooms are responsible for set-up and cleaning.

Located at 311 West Main Street, the GLC&VC moved into its new 7,000-square-foot building in October 2012.
