Greenlink Opens New Downtown Offices

June 26, 2014

GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenlink administrative staff has relocated to new offices at the Transit Center at 100 West McBee Avenue in downtown Greenville, joining Greenlink’s operations staff for the first time since the City of Greenville began managing public transportation in 2008.

The Greenlink administrative staff previously was housed at 1021 South Main Street with City of Greenville Parking Services. The relocation of Greyhound Bus Lines from the Transit Center to Woodruff Road earlier this year created space for the new offices.

“Having all of our staff in one location at the Transit Center will make us even more efficient,” said Mark Rickards, Director of Transportation. “It makes a real difference to have administrative and operations staffs working side by side.”

Designed by LS3P Associates Ltd. of Greenville, the new 4,000-square-foot administrative suite includes seven offices, a conference room and a small amount of leasable retail space. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held for the new offices in early fall.

Greenlink provides fixed route transportation services Monday through Saturday in the city of Greenville and throughout Greenville County. Greenlink also operates a daily connector to Clemson University and a CU-ICAR/St. Francis Shuttle on weekdays. The Greenlink system also features Greenville Area Paratransit (GAP), an ADA service provided for disabled individuals who are unable to use Greenlink’s fixed route bus service.
