Greenville Chamber announces 2025 board slate, Michelle Seaver named chair-elect

The Greenville Chamber Board of Directors approved its 2025 board slate and appointed Michelle Seaver as chair-elect.

Traci Newkirk, President and Founder of Human Potential Advisors, will serve as Board Chair in 2025. Michelle Seaver will take over the highest volunteer leadership role for the Greenville Chamber in 2026.

Michelle is the United Community President of Greenville, Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties. She has served on the board since 2022 and as Treasurer since 2023. Michelle is deeply committed to fostering community well-being and advancing local culture. Through her involvement with organizations such as Prisma Health, Artisphere, and the Greenville County Museum of Art, she exemplifies the power of partnerships to create meaningful impact. As a longtime Greenville resident, Michelle, her husband David, and their daughters Kaitlyn and Caroline proudly invest their time and energy in the community they call home.

According to Michelle, “I am honored to serve as Chair of the Greenville Chamber Board of Directors. Having been involved with the Chamber in various capacities since the start of my career, I’ve seen firsthand the tremendous impact this organization has on Greenville. I especially value the alignment between the Chamber and my employer, United Community—we both share a commitment to going the extra mile for our community, with service at the heart of everything we do. It’s essential for all local leaders to join us in this mission to strengthen our region’s economic growth. I look forward to collaborating with the board to drive positive change for years to come.”

Over the course of her tenure, she has proven to be an outstanding collaborator and communicator. She has the remarkable ability to break down complex financial concepts and make them accessible to diverse stakeholders. And as President of United Community, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic insight, and has a deep commitment to the city of Greenville. It is my honor to work alongside of her on the Chamber Board as we seek to make Greenville a great place for all!”

Five new members will join the board in 2025:

  • Angela McCullough, Tri-Logistics, LLC
  • Max Stewart, Greenville Area Development Corporation
  • Stephen Stokes, Stokes & Company, CPAs
  • Gage Weekes, Hollingsworth Funds

Jessica Donan, EY Greenville Office Managing Partner and Americas Industrial Products Sector Assurance Advisory Leader, will serve as Immediate Past Chair of the Chamber Board and will also chair the Greenville Chamber Foundation in 2025.

Jessica shared this statement about her experience, “Serving as the Chair of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce has been an incredibly rewarding experience. It has been an honor to work alongside such dedicated and passionate individuals, all striving to make Greenville a better place for businesses and the community. Together, we have fostered growth, innovation, and collaboration, and I am proud of the progress we have made. This journey has not only strengthened our local economy but also deepened my commitment to serving our vibrant community.”

Three individuals have completed their board service terms and will transition from the board: Cal Hurst, Southern First Bank; Erwin Carter, Newbold Services; and John Humphries, WYFF4.

The Board of Directors is the governance body of the Greenville Chamber. Its members represent the business and professional leadership of the community. New board members will begin in January 2025.
