Greenville restaurant gets new name for third anniversary

GREENVILLE, SC – Downtown’s coolest restaurant is celebrating three years this June with some new specials and a new name.

The Upstate’s only funnel cake specialty shop unveiled its new name, Funneldelicious, this week, just in time for the birthday festivities.

“Funneldelicious really reflects who we are as a brand,” said Mike Pennington, owner. “We are known for our delicious funnel cakes, but we also offer a wide variety of healthier deli options. We want to make people aware of everything the restaurant is, and our new name does just that.”

The restaurant also plans to begin franchising under this new name.

In addition to grabbing a healthy lunch, customers can also take advantage of some sweet birthday deals throughout the month of June. Anyone who says “Happy Birthday” to staff during the entire month of June will get a free topping on their funnel cake.

Funneldelicious is also planning a birthday celebration on Saturday, June 14, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., where the restaurant will debut its Mega Birthday Funnel Cake and every attendee will receive a free baby funnel cake.

“We have had a great time being part of downtown Greenville for the past three years, and we wanted to do something fun and special to honor that,” Pennington said. “And what’s more fun than free funnel cakes?”
