This classic musical was selected by the Greenville Theatre community as the “most requested return to the GT stage in Season 100.”  The Tony Award- winning show tells the story of Tevye, Golde, their daughters, and the little town of Anatevka, which finds itself in a rapidly changing world and time. There is no better story to encompass the impact Greenville Theatre continues to have on our community than this classic tale about community, love, family, home, and tradition. Join us as we celebrate “To Life” in 2026!

Directed by Max Quinlan, with musical direction by Julie Florin and choreography by Fawn Allen, this timeless classic is led by Jason E. Gerhard, Kelly Davis, Erica Doran, Carter Allen, Bella Burke, Drew Gardner, Andrew Anderson, Danielle Horn, and Jerry Witty.

“This season has been a celebration of what matters most to us at Greenville Theatre: community. At our core, we are a community-first organization, and our enduring legacy reflects a century of connection and shared purpose. Fiddler on the Roof is, at its heart, a story about community, family, and connection. This is the most fitting time to share this story with our audience once again—one that so powerfully reflects who we have been as a theatre company, and who we will continue to be for the next 100 years,” says Producing Artistic Director Max Quinan.

Jason E. Gerhard who plays Tevye in the production adds, “We experience the central family live through the spectrum of the human experience: birth and newness, young love and marriage, heartache and loss, and a desire for a better life in the face of shifting sands underneath us.”
