WHY: The Greenville Zoo is proud to present this conservation lecture series, funded by the Greenville Zoo Conservation Fund, and to welcome special guest speakerMatt Hallett, Ph.D. from the University of Florida’s School of Natural Resources and Environment. Dr. Hallett will discuss his fieldwork in Guyana, South America, where he is working with local community members to increase understanding of how jaguars, bush dogs, giant anteaters and other iconic rainforest species interact, compete and survive, and how they are affected by human activities.
The Conservation Lecture Series is free and open to the public. While not required, attendees are asked to pre-register online if possible. The lecture will be held on the first floor and attendees should use the museum’s side entrance off Academy Street. Free parking is available at the Heritage Green parking deck.
