Greenville’s Biggest Book Sale is back

August 5, 2025

The Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale is back for its 24th year—bigger than ever and more than just a book sale.

This Thursday, August 7, the Kick-Off Party offers an exclusive first look at the sale, plus music, drinks, desserts, and food by AlecZondra Walker—a recent GED graduate from Greenville Literacy Association (GLA) and rising chef with her own business, Soulful Souls. It’s a story worth telling.

FREE General Admission: Saturday, August 9 | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. | McAlister Square
Bag Day Sale: Sunday, August 10 | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. | McAlister Square

WHY IT MATTERS:
Nearly 45,000 adults in Greenville County don’t have a high school diploma. Every dollar raised helps adult learners earn their GED, master English, and access better job opportunities. This year’s event also highlights a new partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, showing how literacy lifts families across generations.

We’d love to see you at the party—or have you help us spotlight this feel-good, community-powered event.
