GreenWood, Inc’s Rick Phillips Achieves NCCER Master Trainer Status

GREENVILLE, SC – June 28, 2010 –  GreenWood, Inc., an integrated operations, maintenance and construction solutions provider, announces that Rick Phillips, Director of Maintenance and Construction Operations, has successfully achieved the Master Trainer certification through the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). As a Master Trainer, Rick has been certified in accordance with NCCER’s Instructor Certification Training Program (ICTP) for Master Trainers and is qualified to train craft/technician instructors.

At GreenWood, Rick leads all craft training programs which are centered on the Contren Learning series through NCCER. This series provides accreditation, standardized curriculum, national registry and assessment for GreenWood personnel in the areas of construction, maintenance and operations. As a result, GreenWood personnel are able to hone their skill sets and receive training in specific areas that complements their professional expertise.

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor and as the accrediting body for the industry, NCCER establishes the benchmark for quality training and assessments. NCCER is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) education foundation created to develop standardized construction, maintenance, and pipeline curricula with portable credentials and help address the critical skilled workforce shortage.
