GRIFFIN Brokers Stone Avenue Re-Development Deal

GREENVILLE, SC – Mark Griffin, President and Broker-In-Charge of Griffin Property Solutions based in downtown Greenville recently brokered the sale of a 1.14+- acre site located at 100 E Stone Ave in the city of Greenville. The site is located at the intersection of Stone Avenue and Rowley Streets. The vacant, dilapidated building and site sat dormant throughout the economic downturn. Interest in the property from local and regional investors has been very strong as of recent. Various re-development plans were submitted with the city over the past several years which never panned out. The Beach Company, based in Charleston, purchased the property from Vega Corp in October of this year. The Beach Company has submitted plans for the property in conjunction with the property that they also have acquired at the corner of Stone and N. Main Street. The N Main and Stone project is currently under construction and calls for a mixture of high density and medium density multi-family as well as retail. The property was previously acquired by Vega Corp. from Saad Holdings in 2008. This marks the fourth major site in the past 12 months that GRIFFIN has brokered within the E Stone Ave. / N. Main corridor for future re-development.
