Griffith Earns College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Honors

Presbyterian Blue Hose men’s soccer senior midfielder Carson Griffith was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team. Griffith is the ninth player in the program’s history named to the College Sports Communicators Division I Academic All-District team.

The 2024 Academic All-District Men’s Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. With his selection, Griffith moves onto the CSC Academic All-America ballot, and the Academic All-American teams will be announced in mid-December.

To be included on the CSC’s Academic All-District team, one must have maintained a minimum of a 3.5 grade-point average out of the traditional 4.0 scale, while also participating in at least 90 percent of the team’s matches in the 2024 season.

Played an integral role in helping the Blue Hose advance to the semifinals of the Big South Tournament for the sixth time in the program’s history. He was a major cog on a Blue Hose offensive attack which ranked among the nation’s leaders in scoring. This season, he was named First Team All-Big South and to the Big South All-Academic team for the second consecutive season. Griffith, who also earned Second Team All-Big South honors in 2022, is one of three players in the program’s history to earn All-Big South accolades three times in their career.  Griffith has been on the Dean’s List three times, the President’s List once, and on the Big South Honor Roll twice.
