Guy Roofing wins 2018 Better Business Bureau’s Business of Integrity Award for Outstanding Community Service

Guy Roofing has received a 2018 Business of Integrity Award from the Better Business Bureau Upstate, South Carolina for outstanding community service. The award was presented during the BBB’s annual meeting on November 8.
“Social responsibility is a long-standing part of who we are at Guy Roofing,” said Vice President Jeff Guy. “We believe that being a good corporate citizen means not only delivering value to our customers, but also to our employees and to the communities where we live and work.”
Guy Roofing supports the community and encourages employee participation through its charitable giving initiative, GUY Covering and Caring. This year, Guy has supported numerous organizations, including Spartanburg Humane Society, Special Olympics South Carolina, Hatcher Gardens and Woodland Preserve, United Way of the Piedmont, Aaron’s Army, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and several high school and community athletic programs. Guy also participates in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center’s Employee Discount Program and supports area veterans by sponsoring Clemson University’s Hero of the Game. Furthering its commitment to Upstate veterans, Guy this summer installed a free solar roofing system at the home of Greer, S.C. resident David Hill through Upstate Warrior Solutions.

The Business of Integrity Award recognizes businesses in the 10-county Upstate region of South Carolina for their commitment to exceptional marketplace standards that benefit consumers, employees, suppliers, industry peers and the communities in which they do business. Nominees go through a rigorous application process that evaluates the company’s demonstrated commitment to business practices that build trust in the marketplace with employees, customers and vendors.
As a local recipient of the 2018 Business of Integrity Award, Guy Roofing is eligible to enter the Council of Better Business Bureau, Inc.’s 2018 National Torch Award.
