Habitat Greenville recognizes four outstanding philanthropists for National Philanthropy Day

On, Wednesday November 15, Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County honored four individuals and organizations for their outstanding philanthropic contributions to the Habitat mission in their celebration of National Philanthropy Day ®.
Habitat’s 2017 National Philanthropy Day honorees include:
- Wells Fargo, a longtime build partner on both the local and national level, as the Corporate Philanthropist of the Year.
- Kim Keable was recognized as the Individual Philanthropist of the Year for her generous support of the Habitat mission both personally and professionally.
- Joshua Ratcliff was recognized as the Young Philanthropist of the Year for his work with Michael’s Janitorial, which donates homeowner supplies to each new Habitat homeowner at their dedication ceremony. Michael’s Janitorial also supports the annual No Place Like Home Gala and the Joe Barron Classic Golf Tournament.
- Kenny Bridwell was also honored as the Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year for his work securing sponsorships for both the No Place Like Home Gala and the Joe Barron Classic Golf Tournament.
“These individuals and companies have made a profound impact on the work that Habitat Greenville is able to do in this community,” said Monroe Free, President and CEO of Habitat Greenville. “From becoming build partners to supporting our annual fundraiser to generous giving throughout the year, their contributions have helped us serve more families and build more homes, and for their generosity we are thankful.”
National Philanthropy Day is both an official day and a grassroots movement. Every year, since 1986 when President Ronald Reagan first proclaimed November 15th as National Philanthropy Day, communities across the globe have celebrated by hosting events to recognize activities of donors, volunteers, foundations, leaders, corporations, and others engaged in philanthropy.
