Halls Chophouse to open in Columbia October 15

May 18, 2018
The Hall Management Group announced the opening of a new Halls Chophouse October 15, in Columbia, South Carolina.
 .
“It’s a dream come true. Our family and our management team wanted to have a restaurant in Columbia ever since we opened in Charleston 10 years ago,” said Bill Hall, Sr., Chairman and CEO of Hall Management Group (HMG). “And now we have that opportunity thanks to my friend and colleague Steve Palmer. HMG acquired The Oak Table restaurant, 1221 Main Street, at the corner of Main and Gervais overlooking the state capitol, from The Indigo Road Hospitality Group.
 .
“The Indigo Road’s recent growth in cities like Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville and DC has limited our ability to dedicate the time and leadership needed at the Oak Table and what the staff deserves,” said managing partner Steve Palmer. “We are proud of the staff and what we have built in the past six years in Columbia, and know that we are placing the restaurant in great hands with the talented leaders from Hall Management Group.” The Oak Table’s last day of operation is Saturday June 2.
 .
The new restaurant, Halls Chophouse, The Columbia Steakhouse, is the fourth Halls Chophouse branded restaurant with locations in Charleston, Greenville and Nexton, South Carolina (opening March 2019).
 .
The new 4,500 sq. ft. restaurant in Columbia will begin renovation work after the June 2 closing, to the fit and finish decor of the four branded Halls Chophouse restaurants. In addition to the restaurant space, HMG has leased the adjoining 4,500 sq. ft. to develop for special events, private dining, business meetings and family gatherings. Halls Chophouse, The Columbia Steakhouse, will re-open October 15 this Fall.
