GREENVILLE, SC – February 8, 2012 – Hanvey Engineering and Design, headquartered in Easley, SC, has given the Greenville Tech Animal Studies program equipment valued at $31,076 to be used in the program’s new building at the college’s Northwest Campus.

Christopher Hanvey, CEO, and Curtis Hanvey of Hanvey Engineering & Design, LLC, which manufactures pet grooming equipment and mobile pet grooming vans, have been offering their firm’s assistance to the program for a number of years. Curtis said Lisa Parker, the program department head, asked and we felt it would be cool to help in this way.

The gift includes grooming tables, pet bath tubs, and dryers. We are grateful for this support from Hanvey,” Parker said. “It gives us the latest and greatest equipment on which to train our students.

The program is growing, with 25 students now enrolled. Incomes for those graduating and going to work for an existing company typically start at $35,000. Those who become independent operators can earn $80,000 or more annually.
