Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd elects Girard and Shealy as shareholders

Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. announced Foster Girard and Ross Shealy were recently elected as new shareholders of the firm.
Foster Girard’s practice concentrates on corporate finance and commercial transactions. His practice includes drafting and negotiating financing documents and commercial contracts, including those arising under Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code, as well as advising and assisting limited liability companies, corporations and other business associations in finding practical legal solutions that achieve their business objectives. He has assisted on private placement offerings and on bank acquisitions. He also advises clients on general corporate matters, including choice of entity, entity formation and governance documents.
A graduate of Leadership Columbia, Foster received his juris doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law and was a member of the Order of the Coif and Order of the Wig and Robe. He has served as the Fifth Circuit Representative for the South Carolina Bar since 2013.
Ross Shealy, a native of Cayce, is a general civil litigation attorney. His practice includes products liability defense, premises liability, professional negligence, insurance and construction matters. As a former Nuclear Submarine Officer for the U.S. Navy, he also represents clients in a variety of nuclear issues, which include security, employment and nuclear waste policy.
Ross received his juris doctorate, magna cum laude, from University of South Carolina School of Law. Prior to that, he completed a master’s degree in engineering management from Old Dominion University and pursued graduated studies at the University of South Carolina School of the Environment. His breadth of experience across the legal, educational and military fields continues to serve him well in his practice.
