Healthy Learners Announces New Director of Development

COLUMBIA, SC – October 4, 2013 – Healthy Learners welcomes Todd Buehrig as its new director of development.
With over 10 years experience in non-profit fundraising, Buehrig is a welcome addition to the Sisters of Charity family. Prior to joining Healthy Learners, he served as the assistant director of development for the Columbia Museum of Art in Columbia, SC where he oversaw all corporate, foundation and major gift fundraising. In his new position, Buehrig will be responsible for growing the organization’s fundraising efforts in grants, special events and major gift contributions to better support the mission of the organization.
We believe that Todd’s demonstrated track record in non-profit fundraising is an excellent fit for Healthy Learners. His diverse knowledge and experience in the field will help grow our efforts to provide our community’s most vulnerable children access to basic health care services. We look forward to his leadership within our organization and the community, said Jo Pauling-Jones, executive director of Healthy Learners.
Buehrig holds a master of public administration (MPA) degree from the University of South Carolina and a bachelor of science degree in political science from Francis Marion University. He is an active member of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals and the American Grant Writers Association.
