Hear from award-winning writer about finding joy amid mental health struggles

October 23, 2020

Join Richland Library and hear from an award-winning writer during Meet the Author: Jenny Lawson from 7 – 8:30 p.m., Friday, November 6. Please register at richlandlibrary.com or call 803-799-9084 to attend this online program, which is free and open to the public. It may not be suitable for minors as the author discussion contains adult themes and the use of strong language.

During the program, Lawson is examining how to find humor in moments of pain and struggle by sharing personal experiences. While clinical depression, anxiety, rheumatoid arthritis, mild OCD and trichotillomania (the urge to pull one’s hair out) are all part of her life, she’s determined to be “Furiously Happy” in the moments when things are fine and to find joy.

Lawson is the creator of the wildly popular blog “The Bloggess” and author of the bestselling book “Let’s Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir.”
