Hello Weekend – High School Football Opens this Weekend!

School started this week and so does high school football. There’s plenty of other options for your entertainment as well.

Here’s what’s happening in Laurens County this weekend.

Thursday, August 19^th:

Palmetto Brothers is presenting Live with J. Stephens inside the dispensary from 7 pm – 9 pm. J Stephens is a one-man band singer songwriter based out of Spartanburg South Carolina and takes the indoor stage at the Dispensary at 7 pm.

Friday, August 20^th:

Friday night football is here! Clinton High is playing Pendleton at home, Laurens Academy is playing Faith Christian at home, and Laurens High plays T.L. Hanna at T.L. Hanna. All games start at 7:30 pm.
The Coffee Roost is hosting Music with Marian Smith Nee at 7:00 pm. This jazz piano concert will be a great time. You might want to bring a folding chair. Come enjoy a coffee, tea or other specialty drink and the sounds of Jazz!
Sounds of Summer – Fountain Inn Commerce Park from 7:00-9:30 pm – 20 Ride
Friday Night Live with Hot as a Pepper and Frescoluna Pop Up Taco Shop! Come out for some tacos and a great concert. Hot As A Pepper provides the best in current to classic dance music including Rock, Disco, Funk, Pop, Top 40, R&B, Motown, Beach, Soul, Country, Jazz and more!

Saturday, August 21^st:

A recent edition to your Saturday market shopping is Lush Acres Farm, the farm store at Thornwell in Clinton (1875 W. Maple St. Extension) is open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. They are open from 8-4 on Saturday so check it out.
Laurens Farmers Market – (8 am – 12 noon) Each week the farmers market gets better and better. They will be set up on the Roma side of the Square so grab a coffee from the Coffee Roost and shop all the great deals at the farmers market.
After visiting the Laurens Farmers Market stop by for Yoga & Mimosas at Palmetto Brothers Brewery (10-11 am)
Fountain Inn Farmers Market – 110 Depot Street, Fountain Inn. Open from 8 am to noon.
Shop local including some great stores in Laurens and Clinton.
If the weather permits, get outside and check out the hiking trails, canoeing areas and bike routes right here in Laurens County
Laurens County Republican Party “Meet & Greet” (2-4 pm.) Come out to Laurens City Ampitheater for a time of fellowship, music, games, and the opportunity to hear from a couple speakers – including Scott Tollison who is running for Seat 3, County Council.
Live music with Moss! Saturday night at Palmetto Brothers Dispensary from 7pm – 9pm.
