HGTC launches spring 2026 “Explore HGTC” series for prospective students

March 3, 2026

Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) will host a series of open houses and information sessions throughout March and April designed to help prospective students explore career pathways, meet faculty and learn how to enroll for the upcoming academic year.

The Spring 2026 “Explore HGTC” series offers opportunities across business, technology, engineering and high-demand health science programs. Events are free and open to prospective students and their families.

“These events are designed to help students confidently take the next step toward their future,” said Dr. Marilyn “Murph” Fore, president of Horry-Georgetown Technical College. “At HGTC, we provide hands-on learning, dedicated faculty mentorship and direct pathways into meaningful careers. Our open houses and information sessions allow prospective students to experience that environment firsthand and see how we support them every step of the way.”

Most sessions include program overviews, admissions guidance, faculty Question and Answer opportunities and tours of labs, classrooms, and simulation spaces.
