The event, by invitation only, will reunite the entire cast and crew of the show for an evening of celebration and reflection. In addition, renowned Charelston-based artist, Jonathan Green, will be in attendance along with demonstrations of Charleston Sweetgrass Basket weaving.
In the documentary, which aired its pilot episode in March, PBS showcased two iconic Charleston landmarks, including 20 South Battery, in their exploration of historic spots highlighted in the 19th-century book “Picturesque America.” This book is revered as one of the nation’s earliest travel guides, and the film delves into the “then and now” of each 150-year-old location while uncovering the culture, history, and beauty of each place. Alongside Drayton Hall, 20 South Battery was prominently featured, capturing the essence of its timeless elegance and historic significance.
